Head of Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning

TLDR

Lead AI-enabled talent acquisition and workforce planning across Technology & Enablement, shaping executive hires and direct sourcing.

Hiring has never been more important to the success of technology organisations. As AI reshapes how businesses attract, assess and develop talent, the opportunity isn't simply to recruit exceptional people, it's to rethink how talent acquisition creates long-term business value.

As Head of Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning – Technology & Enablement, you'll lead SEEK's largest and most strategically important hiring portfolio across Technology, Product, AI, Finance & Business Services, People & Culture and Corporate Strategy & Investments. You'll partner with senior leaders to influence workforce decisions, strengthen direct hiring capability and help shape the future of AI-enabled talent acquisition across APAC.

This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on recruiting for a small number of SEEK's most critical appointments. If you enjoy solving complex hiring challenges while leading and developing others, this role offers the opportunity to do both.

Why This Role?

  • Lead SEEK's most strategically significant talent acquisition portfolio.
  • Shape how AI transforms recruitment and workforce planning.
  • Partner with senior technology and business leaders across APAC.
  • Lead a high-performing team while remaining close to the craft of executive recruitment.
  • Influence hiring strategy, workforce capability and commercial outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead talent acquisition outcomes across SEEK's Technology & Enablement portfolio.
  • Coach and develop a team of Talent Acquisition professionals across Australia and Malaysia.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders on workforce planning, hiring strategy and organisational capability.
  • Drive direct sourcing strategies that reduce agency reliance and improve hiring outcomes.
  • Champion AI-enabled recruiting practices that enhance recruiter capability and candidate experience.
  • Personally lead a select number of SEEK's most senior or strategically critical appointments.
  • Use data and market insights to continually improve hiring quality, efficiency and workforce outcomes.

Your influence will extend well beyond recruitment, helping shape how SEEK builds critical capability for the future.

The Opportunity

A rare Head of TA role: big enough to matter, focused enough to execute, and at the forefront of AI‑enabled, skills‑based hiring in APAC.

You'll join SEEK at a pivotal time as AI, workforce planning and skills-based hiring reshape how organisations attract talent. Working alongside senior Technology, Product and People leaders, you'll help define what modern talent acquisition looks like—balancing innovation, commercial outcomes and exceptional hiring experiences.

For the right person, this role offers significant visibility, broad organisational influence and the opportunity to shape the future direction of Talent Acquisition at SEEK.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a commercially minded talent acquisition leader who combines strategic thinking with deep recruiting expertise.

You may bring:

  • Experience leading talent acquisition within a technology-led, multinational or complex organisation.
  • A track record of building trusted partnerships with senior business and technology leaders.
  • Demonstrated success developing high-performing recruitment teams and growing capability.
  • Experience implementing direct sourcing strategies and reducing agency dependency.
  • Curiosity and confidence adopting AI-enabled recruiting and workforce planning practices.
  • Strong commercial judgement supported by data-driven decision making.
  • Passion for building inclusive, high-performing teams and continuously improving hiring outcomes.

Most importantly, you'll enjoy partnering with leaders, developing people and solving complex hiring challenges that make a lasting business impact.

If you're excited by shaping the future of talent acquisition while remaining connected to the craft of recruiting, we'd love to hear from you.
