Head Veterinary Nurse I Full Time with 3 Day Weekend

Whites Hill Vet is a thriving small animal clinic situated within a boutique shopping precinct in Camp Hill, surrounded by a large pet lover demographic.   We’ve had a recent renovation and ready to grow!

We are pleased to offer a rare opportunity for a senior veterinary nurse to join our popular village practice, with an experienced vet team and established loyal client base. We welcome all vet nurses to apply who have natural leadership, positive vibes and minimum 2 years nursing experience, we can teach you the rest!

About the Role

Work closely with the practice manager to support our two veterinarians and three vet nurses by leading on day of operations, surgeries, anaesthetic monitoring, hospital care, x-rays and dentals, blood collection, IV catheter placement, admit and discharges, post op nursing consults, mentoring emerging vet nurses, equipment care, managing stock orders and bringing joy to our morning rounds and team meetings. Did we mention no weekends!

About You

• Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing Qualification
• Dedicated and caring approach to clients and patients
• Demonstrated veterinary nurse skills in surgery, hospital and consulting
• Ability to work as part of a team or autonomously
• Desire to mentor and develop junior team members
• Looking for leadership and nursing advancement
