International HR Ops (with Legal Focus) - EMEA Remote

About the Role
As our only HR Ops, you will be handling the following tasks, including but not limited to:
- Managing employee onboarding and offboarding processes worldwide.
- Acting as the “guardian” of the company culture by providing daily support to the team (benefits, visas/relocation, salary, agreements, PTO, stock options).
- Coordinating recruitment-related issues with our Talent Acquisition Lead (preparing contracts, etc.).
- Improving our HR environment.
- Working with our external accountants to manage payroll.
- Corresponding with our external service providers (lawyers, visa providers, accountants, etc.) around the world (North America/LATAM, EMEA, APAC).
About You
- Ideally coming from a background in law, and are comfortable handling employment law questions independently, especially in the US, Canada and Europe;
- You have hands-on experience in HR operations (e.g. onboarding, offboarding, employee lifecycle, internal policies);
- You know how to rely on external providers (lawyers, accountants);
- You’ve worked in a fast-paced, startup or tech-driven environment where you had to wear multiple hats;
- You have the capacity to be nimble, pragmatic, and creative to solve problems;
- You will be required to be autonomous, independent, and communicative as these are the keys to succeed in a decentralized organization like ours. You also have great organization skills, and administrative writing skills;
- You are fully proficient in French and English, both written and spoken.
