Identity & Access Management (IAM) Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Identity & Access Management (IAM) Administrator to support the administration, optimization, and continuous improvement of our Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Network Access Control (NAC) programs. This role is responsible for helping ensure secure, efficient access across corporate, remote, SaaS, IoT, and VPN environments while supporting our continued Zero Trust security initiatives.
This position combines hands-on technical support, systems administration, identity lifecycle management, and project-based work. The ideal candidate has experience supporting identity, authentication, and access management technologies, enjoys solving complex technical issues, and can balance daily operational support responsibilities with longer-term security and automation initiatives.
Location - Eugene, OR (Hybrid)
This is a hybrid role based in Eugene, Oregon. Candidates should be located within commuting distance of the office or be willing to relocate. During onboarding and ramp-up, employees are expected to work onsite full-time before transitioning to a hybrid schedule.
What You'll Do
- Manage daily support tickets and provide hands-on technical support for identity, access, authentication, and related systems.
- Serve as a Tier 2 escalation resource, troubleshooting and resolving complex user access, authentication, provisioning, and system-related issues.
- Support the ongoing administration, optimization, and enhancement of Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Network Access Control (NAC) solutions.
- Design, implement, and improve enterprise access controls aligned with Zero Trust security principles.
- Implement, maintain, and optimize Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations across SaaS, cloud, and enterprise applications.
- Manage identity lifecycle processes, including user provisioning, deprovisioning, onboarding, offboarding, and authentication services.
- Support access governance initiatives, role-based access control (RBAC), access reviews, and process improvements that strengthen security and operational efficiency.
- Partner with IT, Security, Human Resources, Legal, and business stakeholders to support secure and efficient access management processes.
- Drive automation efforts that improve identity management workflows, reduce operational risk, and enhance the user experience.
- Provide technical administration and support for enterprise access control technologies, including NAC, 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+, and related authentication solutions.
- Troubleshoot and support remediation efforts related to identity, authentication, access control, and security-related incidents.
- Manage ticketing workflows and project activities through Jira and similar platforms.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support system enhancements, integrations, and process improvement initiatives.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers to support platform performance, licensing, and ongoing improvements.
- Contribute to initiatives that enhance security posture, regulatory compliance, operational effectiveness, and user access experiences.
- Provide technical recommendations, project updates, and subject matter expertise related to identity and access management initiatives.
- Support emerging technology initiatives, including automation and AI-enabled workflow improvements.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM), systems administration, technical support, IT operations, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or a related technology field.
- Experience supporting enterprise IAM environments, including user lifecycle management, authentication, access governance, and identity-related technologies.
- Experience supporting Single Sign-On (SSO), authentication services, access controls, and identity management platforms.
- Experience working in a support-driven environment and providing Tier 2 or higher technical support.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve user access, authentication, identity, and provisioning-related issues.
- Experience managing support tickets and operational workflows in Jira or similar ticketing systems.
- Strong knowledge of:

- Network segmentation and access governance
- Ability to balance operational support responsibilities with project-based work.
- Experience collaborating across technical and business teams to implement solutions, improve processes, and support organizational change.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Experience supporting SaaS-based identity and access management environments.
- Experience implementing or supporting role-based access control (RBAC) initiatives.
- Experience managing or administering enterprise ticketing systems and support workflows.
- Experience supporting cloud-first and digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience working within systems engineering, cybersecurity, or infrastructure-focused environments.
- Familiarity with automation, AI-enabled technologies, or workflow improvement initiatives.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, Security+, Azure, networking, or equivalent technical certifications.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale security, identity, or access management programs.
