Position/ Assignment Purpose:
Drive project sourcing activities for NPI and customer programs in EMEA (Budapest), ensuring competitive cost, supply continuity, and timely material readiness to support business growth and operational excellence.
Position/ Assignment Summary:
The Project Sourcing Manager is responsible for managing end-to-end sourcing activities for new product introduction (NPI) and customer projects.
The role focuses on supplier sourcing, RFQ management, cost control, and BOM readiness, while working closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, program management, EMS partners) to ensure on-time delivery, cost competitiveness, and supply chain stability.
Key Accountabilities/ Statement of Work:
1. Lead customer RFQ sourcing activities, including supplier selection, quotation analysis, and cost benchmarking
2. Own and maintain CBOM during NPI phase, ensuring accuracy and timely updates
3. Drive BOM review and scrubbing process, including second source identification and risk mitigation
4. Support NPI builds by ensuring material readiness and supplier alignment
5. Manage supplier relationships, including performance monitoring and escalation handling
6. Lead PCN (Product Change Notification) management and impact assessment
7. Collaborate with EMS partners on quotation review, cost optimization, and execution
8. Ensure compliance with company sourcing policies, processes, and quality standards
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain, preferably in electronics or EMS industry
- Proven experience in NPI sourcing and project-based procurement
- Strong background in supplier management, cost negotiation, and contract management
- Experience working with cross-regional teams and suppliers (EMEA / Asia preferred)
- Familiarity with BOM management, RFQ processes, and supply chain risk management
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and sourcing tools
