Sales Development Representative - ANZ

As a Sales Development Representative, you are responsible for uncovering, sourcing, educating, nurturing, and developing sales leads into qualified opportunities from key accounts that will close and add to Fastly’s growing customer base. You are focused on identifying opportunities and building relationships with prospects and leveraging your experience to make an impact.
Fastly is looking for individuals who are passionate about an extraordinary work environment and are motivated to exceed expectations and advance their career in B2B software sales. You'll directly contribute to Fastly’s top-line revenue growth while developing a value based approach to selling . You'l be someone who loves the thrill of the hunt, has prior experience working in an outbound sales development position, is motivated by a career in tech sales, and is someone who is a self-starter, driven, curious, and eager to learn.
What You'll Do:
- Work as a collaborative and strategic partner with Account Executives in ANZ in order to win New Business logos and in turn develop a Faster, Safer and More engaging Internet.
- Be great at research to generate knowledge and insights on the Industry, customers and prospects
- Enjoy the art of cold calling prospects, and have a “won't take no” for an answer mentality.
- Be activities driven, and have a methodical outbound prospecting strategy that will help Fastly win new business logos in Australia and New Zealand.
- Leverage tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo, LeadIQ to generate outbound leads, meetings and opportunities.
- Embrace value based selling and be trained on Command of the Message, in order to sell business value rather than features and functions.
What We're Looking For:
- 1+ year experience as an SDR with Outbound Prospecting experience in SAAS
- Proven track record of success and thrive in a metrics-driven culture.
- Strong communication and ability to build rapport seamlessly
- An Interest in technology, and desire to learn more about it
- Hunger, drive and willingness to test out and incorporate new sales techniques into existing workflows..
- Adaptable, professional, courteous, and motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Can get things done despite obstacles or challenges.
- Ability to proactively resolve problems in a timely manner; develop alternative solutions.
- Understands customer requirements and identifies business challenges that Fastly can solve.
- Have a desire to work hard, exceed expectations, and outperform their quotas.
- A student by nature - not only accepts feedback but seeks it out. Not afraid to ask for help.
We’ll be super impressed if you have experience in any of these:
- Background in MEDDPPICC and Command of the Message
- Power user status of common CRM, sales engagement and intelligence tools

Work Hours & Location:
- This position will mainly require you to be available during core business hours, 9:00am - 5:00pm AED.
- We do not have an office in Sydney at present, but the team regularly work together and collaborate face to face in Work Spaces in the City, or attend customer events or meet-ups. You will be required to be located within a commutable distance to the City.
- SDR’s will be required to travel regionally for customer, client and Industry events, and to the United States for Revenue and companywide events
