Vice President, Global People Operations and Service Delivery

The role:

The VP, Global People Operations and Service Delivery will report to the SVP, People and lead the systems and processes that enable an effective employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle; creating an efficient end-to-end HR operation. This person will partner closely with Executive Management, Finance, Legal, IT, external vendors and consultants to lead and influence all HR operations programs across the Okta organization. Simply put, this is an opportunity for an experienced professional to create and manage strategies that will further drive high-performance, positive business results, employee retention, and shareholder value.

This role is focused on the effective delivery of all HR services across the People & Places team including our people digital solutions & systems, people operations, recruiting coordination, privacy and compliance, global shared services, project management, contingent workforce programs, immigration and global mobility..

The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of leadership, business acumen, a breadth of operations experience and Human Resource knowledge in building, maintaining, and refining policies, programs and infrastructure that supports people and culture within an evolving and high-growth company.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • With the SVP, People, construct the evolving vision of HR Delivery as a strategic partner and efficiency-maximizing function.
  • Influence global people operations and systems road-mapping to support long-term service delivery goals.
  • Build collaborative relationships and provide consultative advice to managers and People business partners on HR systems, policies, and guidelines interpretation.
  • Implement process improvements, technology, training requirements, etc. that will improve the employee experience, from candidate engagement to on-boarding, in partnership with HR services.
  • Partner with People Analytics to build a metrics-driven organization that leverages automation and evolved reporting, dashboards, and SLA tracking to provide actionable insight on service delivery, operations accuracy, and effectiveness.
  • Develop/review relevant policies and procedures related to the People Operations Delivery functions and support all audits across the operations team (SOX, Internal Audit, etc.).
  • Align People Ops Strategy to broader organizational strategy
  • Build strong connections with operations leaders across the business to influence and improve connection points with People & Places processes

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 15+ years of experience in an HR/People Operations environment with knowledge of total rewards, customer service tools, systems, and processes
  • 10+ years of direct people management experience
  • Experience leading/ managing global business services across multiple operations and multiple countries
  • Experience influencing all levels of leadership and driving industry-transforming practices which include partnership experience
  • Experience leading, motivating, and mentoring a team to execute strategies with a focus on career development and growth for people on the team
  • Proven experience launching or driving implementations requiring change management communication.
  • Systems thinker with a “product manager mindset” with experience in HR systems
  • Experience with HR system implementations and data migrations; other knowledge management systems
  • Process and project management experience. Demonstrated experience leading global projects E2E with multiple stakeholders, driving implementations and leading change management

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:

$226,000—$350,000 USD

The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between:

$251,000—$389,000 USD
