Sales Development Representative
TLDR
Generate qualified opportunities through cold calls, targeted emails, LinkedIn outreach, and discovery meeting bookings.
About mpro5
mpro5 is a frontline compliance platform trusted by multi-site organisations including Tesco, Compass Group, Northern Rail, and Booker Group. We help operations teams replace disconnected spreadsheets, paper forms, and siloed apps with one connected platform that covers tasks, compliance, communication, and learning.
We are listed on the London Stock Exchange and operating across the UK and internationally, with customers in food safety, facilities management, retail, and rail. Our model is Software AND a Service — we do not just sell licences, we implement, configure, and support our customers from day one.
This is a genuinely exciting moment to join. We are scaling our commercial team and building the engine that will take us into our next phase of growth.
The Role
We're looking for a confident, ambitious, and energetic Sales Development Representative to generate qualified opportunities for our Account Executives. If you love making calls, starting conversations, and booking meetings with mid-market and enterprise businesses, this is the role for you.
You'll be the first point of contact in our sales process — responsible for identifying ideal prospects, reaching out via phone, email, and LinkedIn, and booking discovery meetings. Your mission is to fuel our pipeline and help us win more of the right deals, faster.
You'll work closely with our Account Executives and the marketing team, and you'll have direct access to the people running the business. What you learn about our prospects feeds straight into how we sell and market — your voice will be heard.
What You Will Do
Outbound Prospecting
- Make high volumes of cold calls, send targeted emails, and use LinkedIn to open conversations with new prospects
- Research target accounts and contacts so every outreach is relevant — you'll know who you're calling and why before you dial
- Test and refine messaging with the marketing team based on what actually lands
Qualification & Meeting Booking
- Qualify prospects on need, budget, authority, timing, and fit — and know when to move them forward and when to move on
- Book qualified discovery calls and demos for Account Executives, with a clean handoff every time
- Build and maintain a steady stream of qualified leads to hit weekly and monthly meeting targets
Pipeline & CRM
- Log calls, emails, and lead notes accurately in the CRM — clean, consistent, and up to date
- Keep your pipeline honest: real opportunities, real next steps, no padding
Learning & Collaboration
- Work closely with Account Executives and Marketing to book quality, well-targeted meetings — not just volume
- Stay sharp on our product, our value proposition, and our ideal customer profile
- Iterate constantly — review what's working, drop what isn't, and share what you learn with the team
What We Are Looking For
Experience & Skills
- A genuine interest in sales and a solid grasp of sales process, lead qualification, and prospecting techniques
- Strong research skills — comfortable digging into markets, accounts, and competitors before you pick up the phone
- Excellent written and verbal communication — you can explain what we do clearly and concisely to busy people
- Comfortable with sales tools and CRM systems — we use HubSpot, Apollo.io, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator, so experience with these or similar is a plus
How You Work
- You're resilient and energetic — cold outreach doesn't knock you off your stride, and you treat every no as a step closer to a yes
- You're organised — you can manage multiple tasks, prioritise well, and hit your activity targets without being chased
- You adapt quickly — new tools, new messaging, new processes don't slow you down
- You're a team player — you support colleagues, share what works, and care about team success, not just your own numbers
- You're curious and coachable — you want to get better every week and you act on feedback
